Based in Kwa-Zulu Natal, the owners, Jen and Jules Gordon, named Polo-Ski after the first group tours they created, namely UK Polo tours, and Swiss Ski holidays. A decade and dozens of tours later, and in addition to ski & polo packages, we now plus any tour your imagination can create..! Through our association with Pietermaritzburg Travel, our Asata / Iata registered consultants, we offer an all in one service, with all the functions of a traditional travel agency, able to assist individuals or groups with planning and booking any tour itinerary. The artificial devaluation of the currency, caused by events elsewhere in Africa, has opened a window of opportunity that is ripe for the taking by any would be traveller. Sunshine, wild animals, warm oceans and sandy beaches, friendly people, tribal customs, dramatic mountains, golf and other sports, farm-stays, wine routes, historical experiences, are amongst some of the things that can be expertly arranged, whilst avoiding the usual tourist traps.Nestled in the verdant hills of the East Natal Midlands at Noodsberg, only 50 kms from Pietermaritzburg and 60 from Ballito, Overstone was settled in the 1860’s by John and Ellen Gordon. Today the Gordon descendants of John and Ellen are proud protectors of this legacy, and now share it’s history, charm, and beauty with the select few desiring romance, peace, and a panacea for the pressures of modern living. The park-like garden, liberally dotted with mature trees, colourful flower beds, walkways and an expansive terraced lawn, provides an exquisite setting for a wedding party. Complementing this are 4 luxury stone chalets, fully equipped, and conveniently placed for catering purposes, whilst not compromising privacy. Family parties of up to 12 can be accommodated here, with further accommodation available locally.With an established team available to provide full catering, decorating, hiring, transport and any other tiresome chores, fortunate fathers can gratefully hand over arrangements, thus ensuring peace of mind, and a happy partner and radiant bride. An added bonus is the availability of the handsome All Saints Anglican Chapel, in close proximity to Overstone, whilst there is no cost for the abundant bird chorus attending the guests in the gardens. |
