Mkondeni Motor Garage (PTY) LTD incorporated in March 1994 is situated at
141 Shortts Retreat Road, Mkondeni, Pietermaritzburg and is the home of:
Rapid Truck bodies, Mkondeni Trucks & Spares and Topline Chassis Straightening and Wheel Alignment Centre.
We have 4000sqm of fully equipped workshops under shelter and a massive
30 000sqm of parking space for trucks and trailers.
We have created jobs for our 120 employees who are always willing to assist in which ever way they can. At MMG we encourage the employment of eager, dedicated people who are willing to learn a trade to empower themselves- This is one of the reasons we stand out above the rest, our artisans are equipped with problem solving solutions, which makes them able to assist our customers with various needs.
Rapid Truck Bodies opened in 1988 and specializes in the manufacture all types of truck bodies and a various range of trailers. In addition to this they take on all repair jobs be it insurance or private. This corner stone of MMG is efficiently run by Yakoub Abdool Rehaman (Manager of MMG) - Largely known as “Jakes” and Julian Shunmoogum together they run a tough game but to the satisfaction of our loyal customers they have been able to maintain our brilliant turn around time for work received.
We are also home to one of Natal’s largest press brakes- Maxi 500ton x 6.5m long.

Topline Chassis Straightening and Wheel Alignment Centre- is supervised by Mams Rehaman. We have Swedish trained technicians who utilize top of the range - Josam Equipment they are equipped to tackle all alignment and chassis needs. Our Wheel Alignment centre brings us customers from all walks of life- as we are one of the few companies who are qualified to conduct a complete diagnosis of any truck and trailer.
Kzn Springs is supervised by Jakes Rehaman and they offer refurbishment of spring packs and blades.
