Southern Carpets opened its doors for business in July 1966 with Mr. Deva Moodley as owner.
Mr. Moodley, having started his carpeting career with Crossley Carpets, understood the importance of offering quality service at a reasonable price. Southern Carpets was based, at the Laager Centre in Pietermaritzburg until 2006, when a new showroom was opened in Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg.They are presently situated at Shop No 5, MacDonalds Center, 255 Chief Albert Luthuli Street, Pietermaritzburg. This new, larger showroom boosts the latest in flooring trends, with experienced staff that can help with all forms of queries. In order to offer a truly personal service, Southern Carpets CC employs full time staff as compared to using sub-contractors. The senior fitting team has a combined total of 80 years experience in Carpeting, Vinyl Tiles, HD Sheeting, Novilon, Domestic and Industrial Flooring. The staff attends all available training offered by the manufactures in South Africa to fully equip themselves with the necessary techniques needed to install the above-mentioned products. Southern Carpets believes in quality service and thus offers a five year guarantee on workmanship.
