Mushka opened its doors in Howick in September 2003, after 17 years of taking part in Craft Markets around South Africa.
We have been producing genuine sheepskin slippers since 1986, and continue to do so. From there we moved on to opening our first store called “Mushka” in Howick, close to the Howick Falls. We then opened in the Central Drakensberg at the Thokozisa Lifestyle Centre. Recently Mushka has opened in Clarens in the Free State outside the famous Golden Gate Reserve. Our other business venture is an African style home décor’ store called “Zebu Crossing” which is also situated at the Thokozisa Lifestyle Centre. Our stock range consists of vibrant clothing, scarves and handbags from South East Asia, many local and unique products are supplied to Mushka to, such as glass Cheeseboards produced from recycled beer and wine bottles together with a matching glass handled cheese knife, the full Sharon Dold (Fat Ladies Range), Linen, Soaps, Mohair blankets, socks as well as Angora rabbit beanies, scarves, full gloves and cut off gloves, Zippy bags. A beautiful range of Victorian teapot stands trinket boxes, calendars, East Asian jewellery, all come together to add a kaleidoscope of colour to Mushka.
